Since 2015, Dr. Marc Schumacher has been Managing Director of

LIGANOVA . The BrandRetail Company.

Marc is an expert in retail and a sought-after keynote speaker. He speaks on

several international congresses and events as the World Retail Congress in

Dubai, the WGSN Future Summit in London or the GDI International Retail

Summit in Switzerland.

He started his career in the fashion retail industry at HUGO BOSS and

Breuninger. At the age of 34 he became Chief Retail Officer and Member of the

Board at the TOM TAILOR Group.

FUTURE OF RETAIL

Marc committed himself to transform the point of sale to the point of experience – a mindset shift in interaction with consumers and a new role of spaces to be created: What are the consumer needs of tomorrow? How does digitalisation effect consumer behaviour? How are the new KPI’s? Do spaces become marketing channels and brands convert into content producers?

He is docent at the HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management.
