Walking on Mars

Student community joined Worldwebforum On Tour at ETH Hönggerberg

Virtual and augmented reality promise to transport us to places that we can only imagine. When joined with spacecraft and robots, these technologies will extend humanity’s presence to real destinations that are equally fantastic.

Victor Luo, the former director of virtual and augmented projects at NASA Operations Laboratory at JPL shared their progress so far, the challenges that lie ahead, and their vision for the future of VR and AR in space exploration.

Right after the session students joined the main Worldwebforum conference at Stage One, Zurich.

They listened to keynote presentations and fireside chats from special guests including Metallica’s Lars Ulrich. After that, they stayed on for a night of celebration, with free-flowing drinks, delicious food and awesome music.
