About Procivis

Procivis was founded in October 2016 emboldened by a clear mission: to empower individuals everywhere by providing them with trusted and compliant digital identity solutions they can fully own and control.

Thanks to our integrated e-government platform eID+, we are already working with governments that are aligned with that mission. But we are also hard at work preparing for tomorrow’s digital world. With VETRI, our blockchain-enabled personal data platform, we are taking the concept of personal data self-sovereignty one step further and aim to become one of the key enablers of the peer-to-peer economy.

Procivis is headquartered in Zurich and we are proud to call Switzerland home. Switzerland is indeed quickly becoming a global centre where emerging cryptography, blockchain and other distributed ledger technologies and businesses can thrive in a safe, supportive, and vibrant environment, thanks to its progressive regulatory framework, deep talent pool and sophisticated infrastructure.

Some of that talent have found their way into Procivis, which is composed of a world-class team of employees, founders and advisors who jointly provide unrivalled expertise in blockchain technology, data protection, security and e-governance

The Zürich Blockchain hub is booked out

Since its opening, Trust Square on the noble Bahnhofstrasse has been fully occupied, explains initiator Daniel Gasteiger to finews.ch-TV.

Trust Square was launched last May with 200 jobs – and was fully booked right from the start. “There is now a waiting list,” reports Daniel Gasteiger. The Blockchain insurance consortium B3i alone, in which renowned Swiss companies such as Swiss Re have a stake, occupies around 50 seats at the fine address on Zurich’s Bahnhofstrasse.

Since Trust Square is a non-profit organisation, the rents are attractive, which also contributed to the run. Gasteiger believes, however, that natural fluctuation is a feature of the start-up environment. Despite the great demand from the blockchain scene, Gasteiger, who with his own startup Porcivis is one of the first customers of the hub, does not see Trust Square as a competitor to Zug’s “Crypto Valley”.

The Zurich hub concentrates less on digital foreign exchange and strives more broadly, he explains. The hub on Bahnhofstrasse is actually limited to the year 2019 – but the future is wide open, says founder Gasteiger in an interview. The company is engaged in an intensive exchange with the government of the Canton of Zurich.

I am an entrepreneur with over 20 years of practical managing director level banking experience at Credit Suisse and UBS covering various disciplines in Investment Banking and at the Office of the Chairman. In 2015 I co-founded nexussquared, Switzerland’s first dedicated blockchain business and start-up platform.

Following that I incorporated Procivis AG in 2016 – with Procivis we develop a digital identity and e-government product leveraging smart phone and blockchain technology. In March 2018, I co-founded Trust Square AG, Switzerland’s pre-eminent blockchain technology start-up and research hub in the heart of Zurch’s financial center. My latest venture I helped create is Verum Capital AG, a blockchain and ICO advisory boutique in Zurich.
