Why you should listen
The cultural and economic geographer has been in charge of urban development in Zurich since 2011. Prior to her current position, Anna Schindler worked for various German and English language publications and publishers, for the ETH Studio Basel and the Federal Office of Culture, and as a communications consultant for small and large companies and businesses in the fields of architecture, urban development and real estate. She taught at the ZHAW and the University of Zurich.

Biography
Anna Schindler studied geography at the University of Bern.
Schindler is the winner of the Zurich Journalism Prize 2002, which she received for a series of articles in the Swiss weekly newspaper “WOZ”.
In addition to working as a culture and architecture editor she has worked in various management and executive positions at two universities and as a lecturer at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences ZHAW.
Since 2011 Schindler has been Director of Urban Development of the City of Zurich.
