Over a period of more than 160 years, Helvetia Insurance has grown into a successful, international insurance group. With headquarters in St. Gallen and Basel, we are now Switzerland’s leading Swiss all-lines insurer. Our success is founded on diversification between life and non-life business. We not only have a strong home market, but also profitable market positions in other European countries. We are enjoying above-average growth in Germany, Austria, Italy and Spain, for example. In the Specialty Markets segment we offer bespoke specialty lines cover and reinsurance solutions in selected niches worldwide.
We focus on business with private customers and SMEs. We also have expertise in the areas of transport, art and engineering insurance, as well as active reinsurance. This expertise is enabling us to broaden our core markets.
We cover the full spectrum of products for private individuals and companies: from private and occupational pensions to liability, motor vehicle, transport and property insurance. As an insurance company, we aspire to offer simple solutions for complex and individual insurance needs. We provide our customers – who now number more than 5 million – with professional advice on all insurance matters and provide contacts for various sectors under a single roof. More than 6,500 employees work daily to arrive at simple solutions.
Since November 2017, our brand promise, “simple. clear. helvetia”, has applied to customers, shareholders and employees alike. The insurance sector is perceived as complicated. We want to make the world of insurance simple to access and easier to understand – not always a simple goal. Our new identity is being implemented using “triads”. Clear keywords, in black and white, evoke images. The form of the message is part of the message – our triads convey a sense of simplicity. The campaign is embedded in the helvetia 20.20 corporate strategy. We want to act in an agile, innovative and customer-focused manner and offer simple, clear solutions: “simple. clear. helvetia” as the triad says.
