From doing advertising work for one of Switzerland’s top banks, Delila Kutovic has moved on to becoming a Food Waste Warrior.
Delila is Head of Marketing and Communications at Too Good to Go, a company with a mission to inspire 50 million people to lessen their food waste, work with 75,000 businesses for better food disposal, empower 500 schools, and impact food waste regulation in 5 countries.
A woman of action, Delila once lived in the Democratic Republic of Congo where she set-up a cafe and started a microfinance project for women.
Today, she is saving the world by offering cheap food that would otherwise end up in the garbage. Too Good to Go runs in an app first launched in Denmark. Partner restaurants, bakeries, and supermarkets offer surplus goods at reduced prices in a surprise bag. The user can buy these through the app and pick-up over a set time frame. Over 13 million meals have not been thrown away because of this initiative.

At Too Good To Go we are dedicated to the fight against food waste!
Food waste is a huge global issue, with one third of all food produced being wasted, landfill is overflowing and our environment is really suffering the consequences.
And it’s not just about the food itself, it’s all the resources that went into producing the food, the land, the water, the labour. It’s a sad state of affairs and we’re on a mission to inspire and empower everyone to take action!
Our platform allows people to buy surplus, unsold food from restaurants, cafes, supermarkets, bakeries etc. that otherwise would have to be thrown out. Through our app, everybody can make a difference by ‘saving’ perfectly good, delicious food from going in the bin.

How does Too Good To Go work?
Just download the app (available on iOS and Android), find a restaurant near you, order food at great prices and head to the restaurant to collect it about 30 minutes before closing time. It’s super easy, good for the environment and helps your pocket, too.
Delila Kurtovic successfully completed her studies with a Bachelor in Business Communication ZFH at the HWZ Hochschule für Wirtschaft Zürich in 2013. After several years of successful work, most recently as Advertising Project Manager at Credit Suisse, Delila Kurtovic moved to Kinshasa.
There she set up a café and a microfinance project, which she then handed over to local partners. Kurtovic then moved on to Greece, where she completed the International MBA Program at Athens University of Economics and Business. Back in Switzerland she rescues food as Head of Marketing & Comms of the start-up Too Good to Go.
