Biography

Emmanuel Viale is the Managing Director of the European Accenture Technology Labs in Sophia Antipolis, South of France. He leads the R&D activities of the Sophia Antipolis Labs node with a particular focus on identifying and delivering applications of innovative and emerging technologies. Emmanuel is also in charge of the Advanced Technology and Architecture group in France.

Emmanuel leads Accenture’s Blockchain R&D globally where evolutions of the technology are identified, partnerships with universities and startups established and first proof–of-technology and proof-of-concepts are designed, developed and tested.

Recent R&D areas of focus have been around: Extended Reality (VR, AR, MR, 3D scanning and rendering, wearable devices, etc.), Quantum Computing and Messaging, DNA Storage and Computing, etc.

Emmanuel holds a degree in Signal Processing and Computer Science from the Ecole Centrale de Marseille, France. He joined Accenture in 1997 and lives in the South of France with his wife and five children.
