Why you should listen
Helen Samsioe saw the huge potential of utilising drones to create solutions for people and the planet, using them as tools to help solve some of the world’s most pressing challenges, while improving operations at the same time.
An advanced UAV pilot, Helen first flew drones for filming and photography. But when she studied technology as part of a Masters in Disaster Management, she realized drones could provide early insights when disasters strike. She set-up GLOBHE, a global drone service provider helping clients get access to new perspectives, information & solutions. Her company analyses and shares drone maps between drone pilots and end users globally to better prevent and respond to disasters.
Helena’s company has successfully launched its patent-pending identifAI that helped the UN deliver medical cargo via drone. This system is now being adopted by other humanitarian actors.
Helena has been named “World’s Top 50 Women in Tech” by Forbes, ranked as one of the most powerful business women in Sweden by Veckans Affärer, ranked among the top 100 young business leaders in Sweden, ranked as a top AI Thought Leader, won “Female Founder of the Year” 2017, named among the “Top Women to Watch in the Drone Industry”, nominated for “Digital Influencer of the Year” 2018, ranked as a top 5 future female leader in Sweden, and has been featured as the “Drone Queen” on BBC.

About GLOBHE
GLOBHE was founded by Helena Samsioe, who has been named “World’s Top 50 Women in Tech” by Forbes, ranked among the top 10 women in the drone industry & referred to as the “Drone Queen” on BBC. The reason behind the nominations & the reason behind GLOBHE is the possibility to use drones to create a better future. At GLOBHE we believe the future of possible is already here. We are using drones & artificial intelligence to disrupt, innovate & shape a better future.
Like all things great, the idea behind GLOBHE sprung from personal experience & interest. Helena’s parents worked as doctors globally when she grew up & she got to spend a lot of time in Africa & Asia, regions where drones could really make a difference through the provision of new perspectives, real time information, or even provide faster medical cargo deliveries. She saw concrete challenges & opportunities that she later applied solutions to during her studies & work in the United States & Sweden. There was a great need for a global drone service provider that used the drone as a tool to create a better future – in 2015 GLOBHE was born and started to change the way the world looks at drones.
Today our clients range from some of the largest humanitarian organisations to some of the most notable corporations in the world. Working with diverse clients across industries give us a unique capacity to rethink & overcome challenges – the sky is not the limit!
