Karen has served in a variety of leadership roles. Her most recent, as Managing Partner of the San Francisco office of Latham & Watkins, LLP, the second largest law firm in the world.
Karen leads Latham’s partnership with the World Economic Forum’s Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution, its work on a Board Toolkit for Artificial Intelligence, and related thought leadership projects. She currently sits on Latham & Watkins’ Finance Committee and co-chairs the IT industry group.
Over the past two years, she has obtained clearances for deals valued at over $40 billion. She is involved in early stages of deal planning, creating practical solutions for getting transactions done in complex and fast-moving environments, including in markets impacted by profound new technologies, such as algorithmic pricing, AI, AR/VR and autonomous agents.
She works regularly with a broad array of business advisors, bankers, economists and industry experts.

She has served in a variety of leadership roles, most recently completing a five-year term as the Managing Partner of the San Francisco office of Latham & Watkins, LLP, the second largest law firm in the world.
Her clients include companies among the Fortune 50 as well as maturing and emerging companies in technology, health care, retail, consumer goods, and manufacturing. Karen leads Latham’s partnership with the World Economic Forum’s Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution, its work on a Board Toolkit for Artificial Intelligence, and related thought leadership projects.
