BIOGRAPHY

Mike spent almost 20 years in Swiss Private Banking and made his way up from a commercial apprentice at UBS to being responsible for Private Banking Switzerland at one of the largest Swiss Private Banks. In early 2014 at the age of 39, Mike started his entrepreneurial journey and founded together with his two Co-Founders the Swiss Startup Factory. Today, Swiss Startup Factory is the No1 purely privately financed and independent Startup Accelerator in Switzerland with about 2’000 Startup project applications per year of which 1% enter the Swiss Startup Factory accelerator program. In 2016 the Swiss Startup Group as new holding company of the Swiss Startup Factory, has been established by Mike and his two Co-Founders. This group acts as parent company and consolidates all activities and holdings of the Swiss Startup Factory. The Swiss Startup Group has already become one of the most important early stage Startup investors in Switzerland.

 

Mike has just recently been awarded as one of the top ten Digital Startup Enabler in Switzerland and has even been featured in the Wall Street Journal with an article about his career. He holds a MBA from University of Rochester New York as well as an Executive MBA from University of Berne. Mike is married and a happy father of two.
