BIOGRAPHY

Reinaldo Pamponet, a businessman and social entrepreneur, had a promising executive career in 2003 having worked for Citibank, Gemini Consulting and Microsoft when he decided to launch his own social enterprise to generate increased livelihoods in low income sectors of Brazil.

Reinaldo noted that poor urban youth in most regions of Latin America were denied the benefits of a productive and increasingly digital society. He hypothesized that Brazilian youth could learn to create wealth using both their heritage and digital media. He also recognized that to adapt to a new society, one needed to learn the true meaning of wealth which is to be free, educated, healthy and happy while at the same time being in touch with core human values.

In 2003, in Salvador, Brazil, Reinaldo founded Eletrocooperativa, a production company for low income youth that revives afro‐descendent culture by joining technology and drums via highly collaborative new digital production techniques. Eletrocooperativa graduates more than 2,000 youngsters in leadership and entrepreneurial skills, as well as music and film production techniques.

In 2010 he co-founded Itsnoon in Brazil, a technology to co-create solutions to business and social issues. He’s been running a network of 70,000 people in Brazil and New Zealand, through its own platform and customized platforms for clients such as Auckland Council, Santander Bank, Martins Wholesaler.

Reinaldo has a degree in Business from UNIFACS, a MBA at Fundação Dom Cabral, and has an extension course in business strategy from FGV-Brazil.
